We select our indoor plants based on quality. That way, we can guarantee longevity and a fantastic appearance. We understand that you would like to keep your new additions in good condition for as long as possible. Many of our indoor plants do not require a lot of care either. Exotic plants generally are strong plants that are used to drier periods as well, so their watering requirements are not as high as some other plants. In short, with these plants you can bring green indoors without a lot of hassle.

On their specific product pages you can find an information table with specifications of plants that you might need to know regarding maintenance, location and more. That way, you know what your plant needs when you receive it so you can create the ideal circumstances for your indoor plant to grow.
Find a suitable spot for your indoor plant
Firstly, you will need to see if the spot you have in mind suits the plant you are interested is. If the plant gets placed on a spot that does not fulfil its needs, it will not grow well (or not at all). When you are looking for the right spot to place a plant in, a few things are important to keep in mind. Firstly, take a look at the information provided with the plant. How much light does the plant need? Can the plant handle a spot in direct sunlight? Is the planted suited for placement close to a window or near a heater? When a plant gets placed too close to the window, it might get sunburn if it cannot handle direct sunlight. A spot close to a heater generally has drier air. If you have a plant that requires humidity, it might be an idea to consider an alternative spot. It is, of course, also possible to simply water the plant more to mitigate the dryness.
Taking care of indoor plants
As soon as your new indoor plant has obtained the perfect spot in your home, it is time for its care. Each plant requires a different amount of water. Take a look on the product page to see how much water it needs. How much water does it need and how often? It generally sounds more complicated: you will get to know your plant in no time. Desert plants and alike usually need to have completely dried out soil before they need watering again. Rainforest plants, on the other hand, require regular watering, just like large (leaved) plants. You can often also provide additional water in summer and less in winter. When it is warmer, a plant tends to grow more and thus needs more water.
Repotting indoor plants
It Is best to repot your plants so now and then. This depends per plant, but on average, repotting needs to happen once every 1-2 years. Repotting often stimulates extra growth. A larger pot also gives your plant more space to grow their roots in. Furthermore, new potting soil contains fresh minerals your plant can use to grow.
Most of the time, when you buy a plant, it is in too small of a pot. New additions should be repotting when possible. Use a pot that is about 20% bigger than the old pot. Add at least some fresh potting soil for the new minerals.
Young plants require more frequent repotting than older indoor plants. For young plants we recommend repotting once every year. Older plants need repotting every 2 years. The best time for repotting is in spring, as that is when most indoor plants grow the most.
