Description
Fargesia robusta Campbell is just like other Fargesia species a non-invasive, hard and evergreen bamboo with an upright growth. It grows very compact with a maximum height up 5 metres. Campbell is commonly used for hedges and fences but can easily be kept in a container as well. After a few years, it will have a full crown with upright stems. The difference with other Fargesia species is that the campbell has relative thick stems, which means it is a sturdy and upright bamboo. The stems have a yellow colour, with old (white) leaves folding over it, creating a striped pattern of yellow-white, with dark green leaves. This has become one of the most popular bamboo species for hedges and fences due to its beautiful colour, thick stems and fast growth speed. Ideal to create a space with plenty of privacy.
