Description
Fargesia nitida Black pearl is a non-invasive bamboo with green leaves and black stems. It is a hardy and evergreen bamboo species that is ideal as a hedge. It grows quickly, is not deciduous and can reach about 3,5 metres tall. As it is not extremely tall, it is suitable for middle-large gardens as well. Aside from using it as a hedge plant, Fargesia nitida Black pearl is well suited as a container plant as well.
Its black stems combined with its green leaves provide a unique and exotic appearance all year round. Although it can technically grow anywhere, it grows best in a shady spot.
