Notice: Cyathea kermadecensis is currently not available. They are expected to back in the stock in the future. Reservations are not possible.
Cyathea kermadecensis is a tall, slender tree fern with leaves of up to 4 metres long. This tree fern is named after the islands it originates from; the Kermadecs. In its natural habitat, the slender trunk can reach up to 20 metres tall. It is self cleaning - meaning that old leaves fall off by themselves.
Cyathea kermadecensis prefers a humid, shady location in humus-rich soils. Shelter them against winds. Young plants are vulnerable to cold, wind and drought, but older specimens are known to be strong - being able to survive full sun and some frost.
This special tree fern is very rare in cultivation.
