Sabal minor - Dwarf Palmetto
This is one of the smallest of the Sabals and very popular due to its hardiness. Slowly growing palm that is no bigger than a shrub. However, some specimens can grow to 2m (6 feet) in height.
The long, fragrant blooms appear upright, from the crown of leaves and bear numerous small, black fruits. These flowers are often apparent on relatively young plants. That's why this palm should not be missing in your garden.
The Sabal Minor longs for a warm and sunny place, but it is also very hardy. Make sure it doesn't get too wet in winter!
