The first seedlings on the market of this very rare item. The female flower of the Trachycarpus wagnerianus (which is mostly dominant) is pollinated with the male flower of a Trachcyarpus nanus. Trachycarpus nanus is a slow grower, is very hardy and does not really form a trunk. Trachycarpus wagnerianus is known for its very stiff but compact leaves that are hardy and resistant to wind and moisture in combination with cold. Both properties of the Trachycarpus nanus and the Trachycarpus wagnerianus are present in this new hybrid, creating a very interesting palm that has not been offered before!
