Diospyros kaki Budapest - Kakiboom
Persimmon(Kaki) can easily withstand our winters. Its fruit appears in autmumn and unusually, the fruit of this tree becomes riper after night-frost! The more mature the fruit, the sweeter it tastes. The fruit can usually be picked at the end of October or at the beginning of November.
This race of Persimmon has been selectively bred in the botanical gardens of Budapest. It is hardier than regular kaki plants.
This plant is grafted and self-pollinating.
