Dietes bicolor - Gele wilde iris
This fan shaped iris is a common decoration found around many swimming pools and in a lot of gardens. It has a light green leaves that enjoy the sun, except during hot days, where it prefers shadow. This South African Iris only blooms for a day, but the flowers are quickly replaced, and so seems to bloom continuously throughout the summer.
This plant is easy to maintain. It is drought resistant and can survive in many gardens. It seems it only has one weakness, frost. It can handle a light frost, but needs help against more severe frosts.
