A fantastic species from northestern Mexico. Unlike any other Dasylirion, it has narrow, angled, grasslike leaves that form a large, spherical crown on top of a thick, robust trunk that can reach an amazing 5m in height, but grows slowly. A landscape plant for dramatic effects, even when young, it is hardy to both drought and substantial frosts.
